Nah, no special tradition or inside joke that I've ever heard of. Singapore's got a lot of weird and wonderful little things tucked away, so maybe it's just a quirky neighbourhood thing. People express themselves in different ways, you know? Maybe the residents there just really like gnomes. Sounds kinda cute, actually. I'd love to see a pic if you have any!

Black pepper crab. It's a classic for a reason. People go nuts for it. Also, don't sleep on their cereal prawns – super addictive. And if you're feeling adventurous, try the stir-fried lala. It’s not on everyone's list but it's a personal fave. Seriously, though, that menu is a beast. You could go a hundred times and still not try everything. Enjoy your next trip!
