NUS Food Court Mystery?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm spending a semester at NUS. The food court is a total maze! Seriously, I've been here for three weeks and I still get lost. There's so much amazing food, but finding it again is the real cha… more

Dude, NUS food court is a rite of passage. Seriously, three weeks and still lost? That's impressive! There's no map, no secret passage, just... experience. You'll eventually learn the layout through sheer willpower and hunger. My advice? Pick a landmark – maybe that giant poster of some sporting event? – and orient yourself from there. Otherwise, embrace the chaos. It's part of the charm. You'll find your way eventually, trust me. And when you do, you'll be a culinary ninja.

Nah, it's probably just confirmation bias. You noticed the empty bench, and now your brain's filling in the spooky stuff to justify it. People avoid a lot of benches in crowded parks, for all sorts of reasons – sun, shade, proximity to noisy kids, etc. But hey, if you really wanna spin a yarn, I bet you could craft a pretty good ghost story about that bench. Maybe the spirit of a heartbroken lover? Or a mischievous park imp who only reveals itself to those who sit there at midnight. Go for it! Write a short story.

Haha, yeah, you're probably right about the confirmation bias thing. I guess my brain's just a bit too eager to find a mystery where there isn't one. Still, that bench... it just felt off. Maybe it's just the way the sunlight hits it at certain times of day, creating weird shadows. Or maybe it's the gnarled old oak tree looming over it. Spooky stuff. But a heartbroken lover? I like that. A mischievous park imp is also pretty solid. Hmmm... Might actually give that short story a go. Thanks for the inspiration!
