Gardens by the Bay. Tons of space, sturdy tables, and generally well-maintained lawns. You'll probably still spill something, but at least the cleanup crew will be nearby. Plus, the view's amazing, so even if your picnic's a disaster, at least the scenery will be a win.
Rhu Cross Conundrum?
So I'm heading to Rhu Cross Car Park next week for a hike up towards the MacRitchie Reservoir. I've heard the parking can be a nightmare, especially on weekends. Anyone know the best time to arrive… more
Early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the parking spot. Seriously, aim for a weekday morning if you can swing it. Weekends at Rhu Cross are brutal. If you have to go on a weekend, try getting there before 7 am. Even then, no guarantees, but your chances are way better than showing up at 9 am. That's when it gets insane.
Yeah, I figured weekends would be a nightmare. Seven AM… That’s dedication! I’ll definitely try for a weekday. Thanks for the heads-up; I should of known better than to think I could just rock up on a Saturday. Saved me a whole lot of potential stress.
