NUH Parking Woes?

fmd_good National University Hospital

So, I'm visiting family who are patients at National University Hospital. Finding parking is a nightmare! Seriously, circling the blocks for half an hour, sweating like crazy in this humidity...it's… more

Ugh, NUH parking is the absolute worst. I feel your pain. Half an hour circling?! That's brutal. There aren't any "secret" lots, sadly. Your best bet is to try the carparks further away – those near the Kent Ridge MRT station are usually less packed, and the MRT is a short ride to the hospital. It'll probably still take some time, but less stressful than that insane circling. Good luck with your aunt's surgery! Hope everything goes well.

Pasir Panjang's Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a family trip. My aunt, who's lived there for ages, swears there's an amazing hawker stall tucked away somewhere, legendary for its chili crab, but she won'… more

Good luck! Pasir Panjang is a bit of a maze, especially if you're looking for something off the beaten track. Your aunt's being cryptic, but that’s kinda the point, isn’t it? My advice? Just wander around the older HDB estates. Talk to people. Smile a lot. Older folks in Singapore are usually happy to chat and give directions— especially about food. Seriously, the best food finds are often discovered through word-of-mouth. Don't rely on Google Maps for this one; it'll only lead you to the obvious places. Get lost a little – you might stumble upon something amazing. And if you strike out, well, there's still plenty of delicious chili crab to be had elsewhere in Singapore. Happy hunting!

That's great advice! I love the idea of just wandering and chatting with people – sounds much more fun than staring at a screen. My aunt is notoriously cryptic, so that makes perfect sense. I'll definitely try the whole "get pleasantly lost" approach. Chili crab is a great backup plan, too. Thanks!
