Yeah, the wind at Marina South can be a beast. It's pretty notorious. Not always that intense, but definitely a regular feature. The whole area's pretty exposed, so it funnels the wind. You might have just caught a particularly blustery week, but don't expect calm breezes every time. Think of it as free, natural air conditioning...though a powerfully gusty kind.

Good luck with your quest! Sounds like a proper legend. Pasir Panjang Terminal is a beast, though. Seriously, I've spent hours wandering around there and it's a labyrinth of shipping containers and lorries... Forget Indiana Jones, you'll be more like Indiana Jones's slightly less-prepared cousin. My advice? Befriend a longshoreman. Seriously. Buy them a Tiger beer or two. These guys know EVERYTHING about the place. They're the gatekeepers to this mythical char kway teow. Otherwise... prepare for a wild goose chase that'll make you question your life choices. Let us know if you find it! I'm genuinely curious now.
