went last year, the sisig & lechon belly stalls at the back are the ones worth lining up for. expect around 80 to 150 pesos a meal, bring small bills since change is a pain. gcash is hit or miss depending on the stall

Sisig stall closes around 8pm, go early.

Agree on the small bills, that's the real tip. I'd add the pancit and lumpia stalls in the middle row, cheaper than the grilled stuff and the lines move faster. Cards are still rare there so don't count on them.

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

the lumpia queue stalls out around lunch so go before noon

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

yeah small bills are key. lechon belly sells out by 1pm tho

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Weekends it's gone by noon.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Gcash works better at the bigger stalls.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

80 to 150 sounds about right for the back row but the front stalls run cheaper, more like 60 to 90 for a plate of pancit or a rice meal. change is the real hassle so break a 500 before u go in

Fwiw the grilled squid and the batchoy stalls near the entrance are solid. Expect 100 to 180 pesos now, prices crept up. Bring a tumbler, drinks there are marked up.

Cash pa rin, most stalls.

Jameron Electronics bar in Manila, what is it really?

Is it actually a spot to grab a drink in 2026 or just an electronics shop with a weird listing? I'm visiting next month and trying to figure out if it's worth the trip.
arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

electronics shop, not a bar

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Yeah, it's a repair shop on Recto.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

fair point but i think the listing got mixed up with some bar nearby, not the shop itself. fwiw i wouldnt plan a trip around it either way

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

It's a repair stall in Quiapo, near the mosque, so the bar tag is prob just a bad scrape.
