Is 1246 Bar and Restaurant in Manila legit?

fmd_good1246 Bar and Restaurant · #restaurant #hostel #manila
Someone at my hostel said to check out 1246 Bar and Restaurant but wanted a deposit upfront to hold a table. Is that normal there in 2026 or am I about to get scammed? Ask if you can pay at the door instead, and check their Facebook page for recent tagged photos before committing.

Deposits for table holds are pretty rare in Manila unless it's a big event night. I'd ask them to send a receipt or GCash reference before handing anything over.

Right, and a legit bar would usually just take your name and number for a table, not money weeks ahead.

fmd_goodMouthwatering Food Center · #dishes #food #manila
Stopping by Mouthwatering Food Center next month on a budget trip and wondering which stalls are actually worth it. Any must try dishes there and rough prices I should expect in 2026?
