Best coffee at Chang Coffee & Tea in Manila 2026?

Visiting Manila next month and staying near Chang Coffee & Tea. What's good there, and is it worth going out of my way for in 2026? Visiting Manila next month and staying near Chang Coffee & Tea. What's good there, and is it worth going out of my way for in 2026?

Their barako blend is the sleeper pick if you want something you can't get back home, otherwise the iced tea lineup is the draw.

I stopped by Chang Coffee & Tea on a trip last year and thought the tea side was actually stronger than the coffee. If you're staying nearby it's an easy yes, but I wouldn't cross town for it. Try the milk tea and a pastry, and check current hours since places in Manila shift around.

try the cold brew, less crowded mornings

How reliable is the wifi at places like Great Shakes Corporation, and do people usually camp out for a full workday or move on after an hour or two? Also curious what hours most people keep here to overlap with a US or Europe team.

tbh Great Shakes is more of a dessert stop than a work cafe, wifi's fine for email but I wouldn't bank a whole day on it. For proper coworking vibes people hit the BGC or Makati spots, and most camp 2 to 3 hours max before ordering again. Time zone wise Manila runs GMT+8 so a Europe overlap means early mornings, US teams means late nights or graveyard.

yeah the dessert stop read is right. bgc spots like the ones around high street hold up better for calls, though brownouts still happen so a pocket wifi backup is worth it. for us hours i usually do 6am starts to catch europe, us is rough

fair on the camp time but the 2 to 3 hour thing depends on the place, some BGC cafes near High Street are fine with laptops all afternoon if u keep ordering. the graveyard shift for US teams is real, i'd add that a backup pocket wifi saves u when the cafe router chokes mid call
