Best photo spots in Bacolod?

I'm heading to Bacolod in about 3 months and want to plan some photo stops. Any favorite spots for sunrise or cityscape shots I shouldn't miss? I'm heading to Bacolod in about 3 months and want to plan some photo stops. Any favorite spots for sunrise or cityscape shots I shouldn't miss?

the rooftop at the San Sebastian Cathedral is actually open to visitors if you ask the caretaker, gives you a totally different angle of the plaza and the city skyline stretching out. for something more industrial, head to the Bacolod-Murcia road near the sugar mill, those old train tracks and rusted machinery make for gritty contrast shots especially in the late afternoon light. the University of St. La Salle campus has this long tree-lined driveway that looks amazing in the morning, the old chapel building at the end creates a nice focal point.

if you're up for a bit of a drive, the ruins in Talisay are gorgeous for golden hour shots, the old mansion has that italianate vibe with the vines and the reflection pond. for cityscapes, try the bacolod city hall at night, the lighting on the facade is pretty dramatic and you can get some cool long exposures with the traffic. the capitol park and lagoon area also has these old acacia trees that frame the building nicely, especially if you shoot from the side where the fountain is

honestly the best cityscape shot is from the rooftop of the L'Fisher Hotel, just go up to the top floor bar area around sunset and you get the whole city with Mt Kanlaon in the background if it's clear. for sunrise, head to the Bacolod public plaza around 5:30am, the light hits the San Sebastian Cathedral and the old buildings real nice, plus it's quiet before the city wakes up. the Negros Museum courtyard is also underrated for some moody shots with those old colonial arches, free to walk around during the day
