Budget tips for Quetta trip next month?

I'm heading to Quetta next month and trying to figure out a realistic daily budget for food, transport, and sightseeing. Any locals or recent visitors have a ballpark figure? For a comfortable day in Quetta, plan around 1500 to 2000 rupees per person. A decent breakfast of chai and a samosa at a place like Lasi on Jinnah Road will cost you about 100 rupees, and a proper lunch of karahi at a spot like Cafe China in the city center runs 400 to 600 rupees. Rickshaws for short trips are 50 to 100 rupees, but if you're visiting Hanna Lake or Hazarganji, budget for a shared taxi or a full day's ride which might be 500 to 800 rupees. You can easily cut costs by sticking to street food like chapli kebab from a stall near the bazaar, which is filling and cheap, and skipping the pricier tourist cafes.

honestly the existing budget is pretty solid but one thing they missed is that u can save a lot on transport if you just walk around the inner city. most of the main bazaars and Jinnah Road are walkable and rickshaws will try to charge u double if you look like a tourist. for sightseeing, Hazarganji Chiltan is free if you just hike the outer trails and dont go into the national park office area. also, street chapli kebab is the move but get it from the stalls near Liaquat Bazaar, not the ones near the cantonment gate, they charge 50 rupees more for the same thing

The budget estimates are fine, but you should know that many guesthouses and small hotels near the bus stand on Zarghun Road charge 800 to 1200 rupees for a basic room, much less than the pricier options near Jinnah Road. If you want to save on sightseeing, skip the restaurants at Hanna Lake and bring your own food, the picnic spots there are free and the view is the same. For a real local experience, eat breakfast at one of the small dhabas near the old city gate, you can get a full plate of halwa puri and chai for under 150 rupees.
