Getting around Kaduna next month?

heading to Kaduna next month for a few days, trying to figure out the best way to get around the city. is it better to use ride hailing apps or just grab a taxi from the street? heading to Kaduna next month for a few days, trying to figure out the best way to get around the city. is it better to use ride hailing apps or just grab a taxi from the street?

I'd actually go with a mix of both depending on where you are. Around the main roads like Ahmadu Bello Way or Alkali Road, street taxis are easy to flag and usually cheaper for short hops. But if you're heading to places like the stadium or the Kaduna Refinery area, Bolt is more reliable since drivers there know the routes better and won't try to overcharge you for the distance. Just keep cash on hand either way, most drivers don't have POS machines for card payments.

honestly for Kaduna just go with the street taxis. bolt is active there but the drivers are fewer and sometimes just cancel on u. street taxis are everywhere especially around Ahmadu Bello Way and you can haggle them down to like 200-300 naira for short trips inside town. just agree on the price before u get in, they'll try to start higher

if you're staying in the central areas like Kawo or the city centre, try using the local "tricycle" taxis (keke napep) instead. they're cheaper than cars, like 100-150 naira for short rides, and can weave through traffic better. just be ready for a bumpy ride and negotiate the fare upfront, especially if you're a visitor
