Looking for an Affordable Gold Promise Ring in Mexico City

Hello, I'm hoping you can recommend a safe and affordable place in Mexico City to buy gold for a promise ring. Any advice on what details the ring might include would also be appreciated.

The Centro Histórico has tons of smaller jewelry shops, often family-run, where you might find better prices than in the larger, more touristy areas. Just be sure to haggle a bit – it's expected. For a promise ring, something simple and elegant is perfect; maybe a thin band with a small, single stone (consider a classic like a small diamond or a more affordable alternative like a cubic zirconia) or even a delicately engraved band. Check the hallmarking carefully to ensure the gold is genuine. Don't be afraid to walk away if you're not comfortable with the price or the seller's approach.

Finding a Trainer in Coyoacán

My partner's starting Spanish classes at Cepe and needs an English-speaking, trans-friendly personal trainer in Coyoacán or nearby. Google wasn't much help; any suggestions? Word-of-mouth recommenda… more

Try checking out the gyms near Cepe. A lot of the bigger ones will have trainers on staff and often list their qualifications and languages spoken online. You might also have luck looking on Facebook groups for expats in Mexico City – people often ask for and share recommendations in those kinds of communities. Good luck!

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought of checking expat groups on Facebook. Cepe is pretty central, so that makes sense to start there too. Fingers crossed I find someone who speaks English, my Spanish is... well, let's just say it's a work in progress! 😅
