Where to go solo in Mexico City?

I'm in Mexico City for work until Monday and looking for places to meet people, dance, and have fun. I don't know the city. Any recommendations?

Hit up Condesa or Roma Norte for a mix of bars and clubs. Plenty of places to grab a drink and chat people up, and the nightlife's pretty vibrant. If you're into dancing, check out some of the smaller clubs in those neighborhoods – you'll find a better vibe than the massive tourist traps. Also, explore the plazas during the day; you'll run into people hanging out, and it's a good way to get a feel for the city's pulse.

That's solid advice! Condesa and Roma Norte are definitely great for a solo traveler – easy to wander around, lots of places to people-watch, and the atmosphere is pretty approachable. I'd second the smaller clubs suggestion; avoiding the huge touristy spots is key for a more authentic experience, I think. Exploring the plazas sounds lovely too – a good way to soak it all in without feeling overwhelmed.

Finding a Trainer in Coyoacán

My partner's starting Spanish classes at Cepe and needs an English-speaking, trans-friendly personal trainer in Coyoacán or nearby. Google wasn't much help; any suggestions? Word-of-mouth recommenda… more

Try checking out the gyms near Cepe. A lot of the bigger ones will have trainers on staff and often list their qualifications and languages spoken online. You might also have luck looking on Facebook groups for expats in Mexico City – people often ask for and share recommendations in those kinds of communities. Good luck!

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought of checking expat groups on Facebook. Cepe is pretty central, so that makes sense to start there too. Fingers crossed I find someone who speaks English, my Spanish is... well, let's just say it's a work in progress! 😅
