Best neighborhoods to stay in Juarez for a visit?

I'm heading to Juarez in a couple months and trying to figure out where to book. Looking for a safe area with some walkable spots for food or coffee. Any recommendations? Most visitors end up in the area around the Plaza de la Mexicanidad, which is fine for convenience but feels a bit sterile. If you want actual character, look at the neighborhoods just north of the historic center, around the Anahuac or Partido Romero sections. You'll find small cafes like Cafe de la Mancha and torterias that are busy with locals during the day, and the streets around Avenida Lopez Mateos have decent foot traffic. Just stick to the main avenues after dark and you'll be fine.

if you want more of a local vibe, check out the area around estadio universitario. it's not fancy but there's a bunch of taco stands and a few solid coffee spots, and you're close to the campus so it feels pretty active during the day. just uber around at night, no big deal

smh another tourist asking where to stay. look man just pick something near plaza de armas if you want to walk to coffee without getting lost, or stay in a hotel in campestre if you want to pretend you're not in juarez at all. either way don't wander down av ju
