Is this cenote real...or just local legend? I'm dying to know before I book, because swimming in a hidden cenote would make the trip incredible. Plus, are there any mosquitos the size of small birds?

yeah the cenote thing is kinda real but it's not like a secret swimming hole or anything, more like a small sinkhole you can see from the edge of the property. i heard the owners keep it kinda wild so you prob can't actually get in it safely. mosquitos are bad but honestly the bigger annoyance is the humidity, stuff doesn't dry. bring a portable fan if you can

No idea about the cenote, but Arsgan House itself is pretty sweet. The pics don't lie, it's totally jungle-chic. Mosquitos? Yeah, expect the usual Yucatan suspects. Bring serious bug spray. Seriously. Think industrial strength, not that cute little bottle you use at home. And maybe some DEET wipes too. Don't want to spend your vacation itching instead of swimming. Have an amazing trip!

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
