Yeah, you're probably right. It was mostly the wind, I think. And, okay, maybe I was a little spooked beforehand, reading all those online forums. The house is pretty isolated. But there was one thing… Late at night, I heard something distinctly metallic scraping against stone. Not the creaking of wood or the rumble of rocks. Definitely metal on stone. It was brief, but… unsettling. Earplugs didn't help with that. Maybe just a loose gutter or something, I dunno. Still, it made for a less than perfectly normal stay.
