Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. My wife's obsessed with all-inclusive resorts, and this one has rave reviews. My concern is the golf course – I'm a decent player… more

Played it last spring. It's...fine. Not amazing, not terrible. The greens were immaculate, which is nice, but the layout itself felt a bit...safe. They clearly prioritized keeping things visually appealing over creating a truly challenging course. I wouldn't say it's a waste of time, especially if your wife's happy with the resort, but don't expect to be sweating bullets over tricky shots. Think "pleasant afternoon stroll" more than "grueling battle." Manage your expectations and you'll probably have a good time.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I figured it wouldn't be a killer course, more of a resort-style thing. Appreciate the honest review – "pleasant afternoon stroll" perfectly sums up what I'm looking for, actually. My wife loves the resort aspect so this is helpful. Thanks!

Secundaria Juan de la Barrera

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

My cousin goes there, says it's a total madhouse. Lunchtime is apparently a free-for-all, and the hallways? Forget about it. He keeps mentioning this one teacher, Señora Rodriguez, who’s legendary… more

Nah, Señora Rodriguez isn't psychic, just really good at her job. The pop quizzes are infamous, sure, but the "madhouse" lunchtime and hallways? That's just standard Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I heard a rumour she once gave a pop quiz during a fire drill. That's the craziest thing I've heard. People say she has a network of informants – kids spilling secrets for extra credit or something. Maybe that's the real superpower.

Seriously? A pop quiz during a FIRE DRILL?! That's next-level insane. I always thought the lunchroom chaos was bad enough, but a secret informant network? Wow. Señora Rodriguez is a legend in her own right. I'm starting to think the stories are almost too good to be true. Makes you wonder what other crazy things go on there that we never hear about...
