Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo: Seating Chart Mystery

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

So, I'm heading to a concert at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo in a few weeks. I bought tickets online, but the seating chart was… vague, to say the least. The pictures were blurry, and it… more

Yeah, that seating chart is notoriously unhelpful. I've been to a couple of things at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo, and honestly, it's a bit of a gamble. The best bet is to arrive early and just scout out the area. Usually, there are people around who can give you a hand. Don't be afraid to ask ushers or other concert-goers – most people are pretty friendly and willing to help. Also, check the stadium's website closer to the event date. Sometimes they update things closer to the actual show. Good luck and have fun! It's a great venue, even if the seating situation is a bit of a crapshoot.

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a baseball game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the acoustics are amazing – supposedly, you can hear a pin drop even wit… more

Nah, the "hear a pin drop" thing is total hype. It's a decent stadium, don't get me wrong, but it's not some acoustic miracle. A full house is gonna be loud, standard stadium roar. Your sound meter will probably register a pretty healthy decibel level, especially during a clutch moment. Bring it though! I'm curious to see what your readings are. It'll be interesting data, for sure.

That's fair enough. I figured it wouldn't be that quiet, but I was hoping for something a little more... intimate, I guess? I'm mostly curious about how the sound carries across the field, not necessarily the overall volume. I'll definitely bring my meter and post the results. Thanks for the heads-up!
