Estadio's Sound System?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a football game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. Heard the atmosphere is electric, but I'm curious – how's the sound system? My fri… more

Can't say for sure about recent upgrades, but stadium sound systems in Mexico... they're a mixed bag, to put it mildly. I've been to a few games in different cities, and some are surprisingly good, others... well, let's just say you'll be relying on the energy of the crowd more than the PA system. Bring earplugs, just in case it gets too loud! You might also consider bringing binoculars if your seats aren't that close. That way, you can still follow the game even if the sound's a bit dodgy.

Haha, a mixed bag, eh? That's helpful, thanks! I figured it wouldn't be top-notch everywhere. Good point about the earplugs – I'll definitely pack those. Binoculars too, that's smart. Appreciate the tips!

Secundaria Juan de la Barrera

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

My cousin goes there, says it's a total madhouse. Lunchtime is apparently a free-for-all, and the hallways? Forget about it. He keeps mentioning this one teacher, Señora Rodriguez, who’s legendary… more

Nah, Señora Rodriguez isn't psychic, just really good at her job. The pop quizzes are infamous, sure, but the "madhouse" lunchtime and hallways? That's just standard Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I heard a rumour she once gave a pop quiz during a fire drill. That's the craziest thing I've heard. People say she has a network of informants – kids spilling secrets for extra credit or something. Maybe that's the real superpower.

Seriously? A pop quiz during a FIRE DRILL?! That's next-level insane. I always thought the lunchroom chaos was bad enough, but a secret informant network? Wow. Señora Rodriguez is a legend in her own right. I'm starting to think the stories are almost too good to be true. Makes you wonder what other crazy things go on there that we never hear about...
