Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this gorgeous-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. The pictures online show this insane amount of lush greenery surrounding it, almost jungle-like. My question is, wh… more

Yeah, the greenery around Cancun is seriously intense. Expect a lot of birds – parrots, hummingbirds, all sorts. Monkeys are less likely that close to Cancun itself, though. You might see some iguanas sunning themselves. As for creepy crawlies… buckle up. Mosquitoes are definitely a thing, especially at dusk and dawn. Bring serious bug spray – the small child sized bottle might be a good idea, seriously. Expect ants, geckos (mostly harmless, they eat bugs!), and maybe the occasional spider. Nothing overly dangerous, but you'll see a lot of insects. Pack light colored clothing to avoid attracting so many biting things. Long sleeves and pants for evenings are a good idea.

Lol, Cancun? Sounds less "secluded chalet" and more "slightly spooky Airbnb near a party zone." Old houses make noises, that's a given. Whispers? Probably just the wind or tourists getting rowdy. Shadow on the patio? Could be anything from a stray cat to the palm trees playing tricks in the moonlight. Unless there's a specific local legend attached to Arsgan House (try searching for it online, maybe something pops up in Spanish), I wouldn't sweat it. Pack your flashlight and book, sure, but don't expect a full-blown horror movie. Maybe bring earplugs, too. You know, for the actual Cancun noises.
