My family and I are big cenote fans and we're really looking forward to exploring some during our stay at the Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. We've been to several resorts in Mexico before, and… more

Lots of tour operators in Cancun offer cenote excursions. Check out Viator or Expedia; they usually have deals and bundle them with other activities. Alternatively, consider using Uber or a similar ride-sharing app – it's generally pretty easy to get around Cancun that way, even to cenotes a bit outside the main tourist areas. Just make sure you have a data plan or wifi access to use the app. Confirm pricing beforehand with the driver, just to avoid any surprises. Having a translator app handy also might be useful, although many drivers in the tourist zone speak English.

That's helpful, thanks! Viator and Expedia hadn't even crossed my mind. I'm always so focused on finding the best deal I overthink it. Uber's a good backup, though – I hadn't thought about that for getting to something a bit outside the main drag. Definitely will make sure we have a solid data plan, don't wanna get stuck without the app. And yeah, a translator app is a smart call, even if some drivers speak English; you never know. Appreciate the tips!

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Best hidden bar?

I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next week. The photos look amazing, but I'm a sucker for finding those little, tucked-away bars that aren't plastered all over TripAdvisor. You kn… more

Honestly, finding a truly "hidden" bar inside an all-inclusive resort like Dreams Vista Cancun is a long shot. They're usually pretty good at making sure everything's... visible. Your best bet for that "local" vibe and strong margaritas is going to be outside the resort. Hop in a cab and head into downtown Cancun – there are tons of smaller places tucked away in the side streets, especially around Mercado 28. You'll find way more authentic stuff there than anything you'll stumble across within the resort walls. Just be aware of your surroundings, obviously. Prepare for some seriously strong drinks though; the margaritas there are not for the faint of heart!

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I hadn't considered venturing outside the resort. Mercado 28 sounds perfect – I'm definitely up for a strong margarita (or two!). Any recommendations on how to get a cab safely, or is it just flagging one down on the street like in movies? Also, any idea on how expensive a cab ride into town might be?
