Right, bad wiring's a good point. I hadn't thought of that. It IS an old building, though, so who knows what kind of electrical gremlins are lurking. I'll definitely take photos – I've got my GoPro, so hopefully, I can get some good stuff. An EMF reader, huh? That's a thought... I might be able to borrow one. I'll definitely report back! Hoping for something mildly spooky, not full-blown horror movie stuff. Fingers crossed it's just a weird power surge.
