Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and my aunt told me stories about her time at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera – she graduated in '88. She said the courtyard was always buzzing with activity,… more

That's a fun question! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera in '88... wow, that's a blast from the past. I doubt Señor Garcia is still teaching – teachers from that era are probably long retired. But you might get lucky finding someone who remembers him. Try contacting the school directly – maybe they have alumni records or a yearbook you could look through. Failing that, checking out Facebook groups for alumni of that school could unearth some juicy gossip. Or even just posting on the school's page if they have one. You never know what stories you might uncover! Good luck with your hunt for legendary teachers!

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a local football match at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the atmosphere is electric, but I'm curious – how good is the sou… more

Honestly, I wouldn't count on a state-of-the-art sound system. Think more "functional" than "booming." It'll get the job done, announcements will be audible, but don't expect any concert-level audio. The atmosphere is definitely the star of the show there. The energy from the crowd more than makes up for any sonic shortcomings. It's loud, yeah, but it's the people that make the noise, not the speakers.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it wouldn't be top-notch, but I was hoping for at least decent intelligibility. So, crowd noise is the real soundtrack, huh? Good to know. Thanks!
