Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and I've always been fascinated by the history of the area. My grandfather, a teacher, used to tell stories about his time working at the Secundaria Federal Juan de… more

That's a really cool story about your grandfather! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera sounds amazing. I'd suggest trying to contact the school directly beforehand – maybe through their website or even a phone call. Explain your situation and your grandfather's connection; they might be happy to arrange a brief visit outside of school hours, or even connect you with someone who can give you a tour and talk about the murals. Going in unannounced during school hours probably isn't ideal, you know? Best to be respectful of their schedule.

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of contacting them directly. Their website is... well, let's just say it's from a different era, haha. I'll try calling them first. Thanks so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. Hopefully they'll be understanding. It would mean the world to me to see it again, after all this time.

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I finally got to stay at Arsgan House, this gorgeous chalet near Cancun. The view was insane, seriously breathtaking. Spent most of my time on the balcony just staring out at the Caribbean. But,… more

No way! That's crazy. I've been to tons of places in Mexico, but never heard of Arsgan House. A locked box... sounds like the start of a good story. Maybe it's just old trinkets, maybe it's pirate treasure... or maybe it's cursed. Seriously though, I'd be tempted to try and jimmy it open... just a tiny bit, you know? To satisfy my curiosity. But then again, maybe leaving it alone is best. Let us know if you ever find out what's inside!

Right?! It's totally messing with my head. I’ve looked everywhere online, nothing. Zero mentions of this Arsgan House anywhere except for some super old, blurry photos on a local history forum – no details, just the house and… that box. The temptation to pick the lock is HUGE. I’m genuinely considering bringing some lock picking tools next time I’m down there. Maybe I’ll just peek inside though... I’m not sure I'm ready for whatever's inside to jump out at me. Pirate treasure does sound pretty sweet, though. Cursed... maybe not so much.
