Secundaria Juan de la Barrera: Food Fight?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm visiting my Tia in Playa del Carmen next month and she says I *have* to see her old school, Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She keeps going on about the legendary food fights in the courty… more

Honestly? Your aunt's probably not exaggerating too much. Mexican schools... well, let's just say lunchtime can get lively. Decades-old tortillas? Probably not. But a good, messy food fight? Totally believable. Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera is an old school, right? There's probably some seriously ingrained school culture there. Check out any local Facebook groups for Playa del Carmen – someone might have some photos or stories, even if the tortilla legend is a bit of a tall tale. You might even find some current students who can give you the lowdown on the current lunchtime shenanigans. Good luck with your tortilla hunt!

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I finally got to stay at Arsgan House, this gorgeous chalet near Cancun. The view was insane, seriously breathtaking. Spent most of my time on the balcony just staring out at the Caribbean. But,… more

No way! That's crazy. I've been to tons of places in Mexico, but never heard of Arsgan House. A locked box... sounds like the start of a good story. Maybe it's just old trinkets, maybe it's pirate treasure... or maybe it's cursed. Seriously though, I'd be tempted to try and jimmy it open... just a tiny bit, you know? To satisfy my curiosity. But then again, maybe leaving it alone is best. Let us know if you ever find out what's inside!

Right?! It's totally messing with my head. I’ve looked everywhere online, nothing. Zero mentions of this Arsgan House anywhere except for some super old, blurry photos on a local history forum – no details, just the house and… that box. The temptation to pick the lock is HUGE. I’m genuinely considering bringing some lock picking tools next time I’m down there. Maybe I’ll just peek inside though... I’m not sure I'm ready for whatever's inside to jump out at me. Pirate treasure does sound pretty sweet, though. Cursed... maybe not so much.
