Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm planning a trip back to @Cancun next month and it hit me – I haven't thought about Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera in ages. It's been...what, fifteen years? I remember the crazy lunches in… more

Fifteen years?! Wow, that takes me back. I graduated from there in '08, so I have a few memories to share. The courtyard lunches were always chaotic – someone was always getting hit with a stray soccer ball. Mrs. Rodriguez's algebra tests... nightmares. Pure nightmares. But yeah, the Día de Muertos celebration...that was something else. I remember the giant catrinas, the food, and the piñata fight was insane. Total battlefield. I don't know if it's still the same, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still went all out. Check their Facebook page maybe? or even the school's website? You might find some pictures or announcements. Good luck with your trip! Have a blast revisiting your Secundaria days.

So, I'm planning a trip back to @Cancun next month and it got me thinking about my old school, Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I spent so many years there, from awkward puberty to the thrill o… more

Wow, Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera! That takes me back. 2008... I graduated from there in '06, so things might be a little different. I remember Mrs. Rodriguez – she was a legend. Those tests… brutal. But yeah, sneaking off to the beach? Classic Cancun. I doubt they've cracked down too much on that, haha. The school itself… I remember it being pretty run-down even back then. Probably hasn't improved much, honestly. Maybe a fresh coat of paint? But I wouldn't bet on it. More likely, it’s still got that same slightly chaotic, wonderfully Mexican energy. It’s probably still buzzing with students. You'll probably recognize the basic layout, but expect some updates or renovations. I'd recommend just driving or walking by if you’re feeling nostalgic – see what you think! Good luck with your trip!
