Sounds like a proper adventure! I've heard similar stories about old places near Cancun – the jungle's a wild place, full of weird noises. Probably just the wind, animals, maybe some mischievous howler monkeys messing with you. But... those "things" in the photos... that's what's really got me curious. Pack some good flashlights and maybe a camera with night vision. Let us know what you find! Seriously though, be careful. The Yucatan can be unforgiving.
Yeah, the photos are what freaked me out. They're blurry, but... I swear I saw something moving in one of them. Something big. The flashlights are charged, and I grabbed my old GoPro – it has pretty decent night vision. I'll definitely keep you posted.
