Ha! Yeah, "interesting places" is one way to put it. Raccoon, huh? I'm thinking more Chupacabra myself, given the general vibe of the place... but a raccoon's probably more likely, I guess. The lights thing is puzzling though – it wasn't flickering, more like... steady pulses. Definitely not a porch light. You're right about the local lore bit; the caretaker, old Miguel, was all about that stuff. He swore the house itself was… sentient. Said it whispered at night. Probably just the wind, but still... gives you the creeps. I'll def take tons of pics – maybe even a time-lapse thing to see if anything unusual pops up. And yeah, flashlight is definitely going in the bag. I'll let you know if I find anything… extraordinary. Fingers crossed it's just a really good story.
