Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard the beach is gorgeous, but also that the mosquitos are *vicious*. Anyone have tips on how to survive the little bloodsuckers… more

Mosquito netting for the balcony is a great idea, especially if you're sensitive to bites. I've stayed in resorts in that area before and yeah... the mosquitos can be brutal. Definitely pack DEET-based repellent, the higher percentage the better. Those little wristbands are kinda useless, honestly. Also, long sleeves and pants at dusk and dawn – they're most active then. Thanks for the tips! I hadn't even thought about a fan, that's a smart idea. I'll definitely be stocking up on DEET – the higher percentage, you say? Good to know. Wristbands are a waste of money then, huh? Guess I'll be sticking to the tried and true methods. Long sleeves at night it is! Appreciate the advice.

Nah, it's probably just marketing fluff. Those "mysterious" photos are probably strategically lit and angled. Cancun's got plenty of genuinely creepy stuff without manufactured ghost stories. Focus on the beach, the cenotes, and maybe exploring some of the Mayan ruins. You'll have way more authentic adventures than some staged mystery at a chalet. Save your treasure-hunting for a real dig site. Unless you're into cheesy tourist traps, then go for it, I guess.
