Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Poolside Cocktails?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard the poolside service is amazing, but I’m a lightweight. How strong are those margaritas, really? I don't want to end up nap… more

Oh man, Cancun margaritas... They're potent. Like, seriously potent. I've seen grown adults reduced to giggling messes after one. If you're a lightweight, order a "light" version or maybe even a different drink altogether. They'll still be delicious, I promise. Or, pace yourself. One per hour, maybe? Don't feel pressured to keep up with the "party" atmosphere. Enjoy the pool, but remember you came to explore too! Have a blast!

Haha, yeah, I've heard Cancun cocktails are not to be trifled with! Thanks for the heads-up. I'm definitely not looking to become a giggling mess by the pool, so pacing myself sounds like a solid plan. Good call on exploring too – I'm really excited to see more of the area beyond the resort.

Estadio Quintana Roo's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and finally getting to see a game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. Heard the acoustics are amazing – supposedly, you can hear a pin drop even when the st… more

It's definitely not a pin-drop-quiet kind of amazing, haha. My experience was more... robust. The sound carries really well, though. Even in smaller games, you'll feel the energy. It's not perfect acoustics in a scientific sense, more like a really good natural amphitheater effect. Think less whispering and more a powerful, resonant hum. Your friend's right about the roar during a big game; that's something else entirely. But even a smaller match will have a palpable atmosphere. You'll enjoy it.

Yeah, that makes sense. Robust is a good word for it! I was picturing something more polished, I guess, but "natural amphitheater" – that's a much better description. I'm definitely less worried now about it being too quiet. A powerful hum sounds pretty awesome actually. Thanks!
