Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this amazing-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. The photos online are stunning, but they don't really show what it's like to actually *live* there for a few days. I… more

Yeah, Cancun's got some serious wildlife action going on. I haven't stayed at Arsgan House specifically, but I've spent a bunch of time in that area. Expect geckos, tons of them. They're pretty harmless, just kinda creepy if you're not used to them. Mosquitoes are a given, bring serious repellent. I've also seen iguanas sunning themselves near the beach – they're cool to look at, but don't get too close. As for "unusual creatures"... depends on your definition! You might see some interesting birds, maybe a coati or two if you're lucky (or unlucky, depending on how bold they are). Just be smart about food storage, keep things sealed up tight. A raccoon heist is definitely possible; they’re opportunistic. It's the jungle, so be prepared for unexpected guests! Enjoy your trip!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm going back to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera next month for a reunion – haven't been back since graduation in '08. It's crazy how much the area around it changed

Wow, 2008! That's wild. Cancun's changed a ton since then, I bet. I remember that area being… well, less developed. More… authentic, maybe? Before all the big resorts really took over. Hopefully, the school itself still has that old charm. What are you most looking forward to seeing?

Yeah, it's crazy how much things change. I'm mostly just hoping the old basketball court is still there… we spent so much time messing around there after class. And the cafeteria food was… an experience. I’m curious to see if it’s still as memorable (or awful) as I recall.
