Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort Relaxation

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Been reading reviews, and they're mostly glowing, but I'm a bit of a light sleeper. Anyone stayed there recently who can speak to… more

Yeah, Cancun can get pretty lively at night. Dreams Vista is generally considered a pretty upscale place, so they should do a decent job of soundproofing. But honestly, you're in a resort area. Even the "quiet" parts can have some ambient noise – waves, distant music, maybe some people chatting by the pool late. If you're really a light sleeper, earplugs are your friend. Bring some good ones, the kind that actually block out a fair bit of noise. And maybe consider a room away from any entertainment venues or the main pool area if possible when booking. You'll get a better night's sleep that way.

Good point about the soundproofing. I hadn't thought about that. I'm a pretty light sleeper, so earplugs are definitely going on the packing list! Thanks for the tip about requesting a room further from the main areas – I'll do that when I book. Hopefully, that'll help minimize the noise. I'm more worried about the waves actually, I love the sound of the ocean but sometimes it can be a bit too much. We'll see how it goes!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and I'm actually really excited to visit the Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. My Tia went there back in the day! She always talks about the crazy school dances… more

Honestly, Cancun's changed a lot. Finding those specific food trucks outside a specific school... that's a long shot. Your Tia's memories are probably pretty romanticized, haha. But hey, there are tons of amazing elote stands all over the Hotel Zone and downtown. You'll definitely find delicious street corn; maybe not exactly the same, but just as good. Just wander around and explore – you'll stumble upon something great, I bet. Good luck reliving those teenage years!
