Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought about the Thermacell – that sounds really useful. Lighter clothing is a good point too, I usually pack mostly dark colors, so I’ll definitely try to mix it up. A fan's a smart idea; didn't even cross my mind. I'll be sure to cover up at dawn and dusk, and maybe I'll grab some citronella candles just in case. Fingers crossed for an itch-free trip!
