Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. Heard whispers about it being haunted...or maybe just really, really creepy. Locals call it "Casa Encantada," the Enchante… more

Nah, never heard of Arsgan House. Sounds like a total urban legend, Cancun's got plenty of those. Maybe it's just old, dilapidated, and the shadows are just the wind playing tricks. Or maybe it's actually enchanted... If you're bringing a spirit box, at least get some decent EVP recordings for us. Let us know how it goes! Be careful though, seriously.

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm planning a trip to @Cancun next month, and it got me thinking... my Tia Elena went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera back in the 80s. She always talks about the school’s annual fiesta, bu… more

Wow, that's a really cool idea! Trying to connect with your Tia Elena's past like that is awesome. Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera's annual fiesta in the 80s in Cancun...that's a time capsule waiting to be opened. I'd bet there were definitely traditional dances and food – think marimba music, maybe some bailes folklóricos, and definitely plenty of delicious Yucatecan dishes. But I'd also imagine there was a strong emphasis on local culture, maybe some unique traditions specific to that school or even that neighborhood. Your best bet for digging up more info would be to try contacting the school directly – maybe they have archives or yearbooks? Failing that, try searching for local Cancun historical societies or community groups online. You might strike gold with someone who remembers those fiestas. Good luck with your search! I’m genuinely curious to hear what you find out.
