Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard it's amazing, but also heard the mosquitos are *vicious*. Anyone been recently? What's the best way to deal with those litt… more

Yeah, Cancun mosquitos are no joke. I was at a different resort a few weeks ago and they were relentless. Full body net might be overkill, but definitely pack a strong DEET repellent – the higher percentage, the better. Those little wristbands are useless, trust me. Also, long sleeves and pants at dawn and dusk when they're most active. Consider some citronella candles for your patio if your room has one. And honestly? Embrace the inevitable few bites. It's part of the tropical experience, lol. You'll survive.

Haha, yeah, I figured as much! Thanks for the detailed advice. A full-body net is a bit much, but I'll definitely stock up on high-DEET stuff. Good to know the wristbands are a waste of money. I'll pack some long sleeves, too – I'd rather be a little overprepared than end up looking like I have the measles. Citronella candles are a great idea; I didn't even think of that. And you're right, a few bites are probably unavoidable. It's just... I'm a magnet for them, you know? Thanks again for the tips!

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

I finally made it to Arsgan House, that gorgeous little chalet everyone's been raving about near Playa del Carmen. The views were insane, seriously postcard-worthy. Spent the afternoon swimming, sun… more

Nah, I haven't stayed at Arsgan House, but a ticking sound from a locked chest? That's straight-up creepypasta material. Probably just some old clock or something, maybe an antique owner left it behind? Or... maybe it's a clue to buried treasure! Seriously though, I'd be way too freaked out to even try to open it. Did you try looking for a key anywhere? Maybe a hidden compartment near the chest itself? Let us know if you find anything... or if the ticking gets louder.

Haha, buried treasure would be awesome, but I doubt it! No key anywhere, I checked everywhere. The ticking is… unsettling. It's a slow, steady tick… like a heartbeat. I'm seriously considering just leaving the chest alone, especially after your creepypasta comment. Maybe I'll just focus on enjoying the rest of the Arsgan House. It's got a pretty amazing view from the balcony. Thanks for the suggestions though!
