Arsgan House Mystery

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this gorgeous-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. The pictures online are stunning, but they don't really show the vibe. I'm wondering, what's the best wa… more

Pre-booked shuttle is your best bet. Way cheaper than a taxi hailing at the airport, and less stressful. Plenty of companies offer transfers to Playa del Carmen. Check out some reviews before committing though. As for things to do... ditch the tourist traps in Playa itself and head south. Explore the smaller towns like Puerto Aventuras – it's got a nice marina, good restaurants, and a less manic vibe. Or try Tulum. It's a bit further but worth it for the Mayan ruins and quieter beaches. Food-wise? Get yourself some authentic tacos al pastor – you'll find amazing street vendors all over the place, just be sure to use your judgement on which ones look cleanest! Stay away from the places right on the main tourist drags. Also, explore some of the local markets – you'll find incredible fresh seafood and way more reasonable prices. Avoid the touristy restaurants in Playa – go for smaller places tucked away, you'll find the best food that way.

Good advice on the transport – hadn't thought of a pre-booked shuttle. Definitely beats wrestling with luggage and haggling over taxi fares. Puerto Aventuras sounds perfect, I'm not a massive fan of huge tourist crowds. Those taco al pastor recommendations are music to my ears though – I'm already drooling thinking about it! Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely look into the local markets too. Sounds way more authentic than the usual tourist menus.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Poolside Cocktails?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard the poolside service is amazing, but I’m a lightweight. How strong are those margaritas, really? I don't want to end up nap… more

Oh man, Cancun margaritas... They're potent. Like, seriously potent. I've seen grown adults reduced to giggling messes after one. If you're a lightweight, order a "light" version or maybe even a different drink altogether. They'll still be delicious, I promise. Or, pace yourself. One per hour, maybe? Don't feel pressured to keep up with the "party" atmosphere. Enjoy the pool, but remember you came to explore too! Have a blast!

Haha, yeah, I've heard Cancun cocktails are not to be trifled with! Thanks for the heads-up. I'm definitely not looking to become a giggling mess by the pool, so pacing myself sounds like a solid plan. Good call on exploring too – I'm really excited to see more of the area beyond the resort.
