Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard amazing things, the pics look stunning, the whole shebang. But my one worry? Mosquitos. I'm a magnet for the little bugger… more

Yeah, Cancun can be a mosquito breeding ground, especially near the coast. Dreams Vista is nice, but I wouldn't call it mosquito-free. Bring strong repellent – the stuff with DEET, not that natural citrus nonsense. Seriously, you'll regret skimping. Long sleeves and pants for evenings might also be a good idea, even if it's hot. They might even have some repellent at the resort shop, but don't count on it being top-notch. Don't forget mosquito coils if you're chilling on your balcony, and maybe some after-bite stuff just in case. A hazmat suit is overkill, though. Enjoy your trip!

Wow, thanks for the detailed heads-up! DEET it is then. I was hoping to avoid looking like I'm prepping for a jungle expedition, but I guess I'll be packing the long sleeves and pants. Mosquito coils – smart idea! I hadn't thought of those. Appreciate the advice; sounds like I need a full-on mosquito defense strategy.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort – Best Beachfront Spot?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. I've heard amazing things about the beach, but I'm a total klutz – always manage to lose or break something. Is there a particula… more

Honestly? No truly "secure" spot on any public beach exists, especially in a tourist area like Cancun. Your best bet is to either keep your valuables on you (in a waterproof bag maybe) or leave them in your room's safe. Those stories you heard? Yeah, they're not entirely unfounded. People get careless, and sadly, theft happens. Better safe than sorry. Enjoy the swim though!
