Estadio Quintana Roo Seating

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

So, I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the atmosphere is electric, especially during a Piratas de Campeche game. My… more

Ubers and taxis are readily available in Cancun, so that's definitely doable. Just make sure to use a reputable app like Uber or a registered taxi, not some random guy on the street. Traffic in the Hotel Zone can be a beast, especially around game time, so factor that into your travel planning – maybe leave a little earlier than you think you need to. Inside the stadium, it's pretty straightforward. Follow the signage to your section; they usually have good numbers and letterings. Concessions are usually pretty easy to spot, they're often near the entrances or along the concourses. Don't be afraid to ask an usher or staff member if you get lost; people are generally helpful. One thing… Mexican baseball games are loud and fun. Embrace the energy! Enjoy the experience; you’ll probably have a blast. And maybe grab a cold cerveza while you’re there.

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't considered the traffic, so leaving early is a good call. Loud and fun sounds perfect – I'm looking forward to the atmosphere. A cold cerveza definitely sounds like the perfect accompaniment. One quick question though – are the concessions reasonably priced, or should I plan to bring some snacks?

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm going back to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera next month for a reunion – haven't been back since graduation in '08. It's crazy how much the area around it changed

Wow, 2008! That's wild. Cancun's changed a ton since then, I bet. I remember that area being… well, less developed. More… authentic, maybe? Before all the big resorts really took over. Hopefully, the school itself still has that old charm. What are you most looking forward to seeing?

Yeah, it's crazy how much things change. I'm mostly just hoping the old basketball court is still there… we spent so much time messing around there after class. And the cafeteria food was… an experience. I’m curious to see if it’s still as memorable (or awful) as I recall.
