Estadio Quintana Roo's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I went to a concert at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo last month – amazing atmosphere! But the sound quality… oof. It was like listening through a tin can at times, especially in the upper lev… more

Yeah, the sound at Estadio Andrés Quintana Roo can be…suboptimal, to put it mildly. I've been to a few events there, and it's definitely a mixed bag. Sometimes it's fine, other times it's like you're listening to a really bad pirate radio broadcast. Upper levels are the worst. I wouldn't say it's always terrible, but it's definitely something to consider when deciding whether to go to another concert. Maybe check reviews closer to the date of your next event, people often post about sound quality on social media for specific shows. Good luck!

Totally get that. Mixed bag is a perfect description. I've heard similar things, some shows are apparently fine, others... not so much. Thanks for the tip about checking closer to the event date – that's smart. Social media reviews will be key. Appreciate the heads up!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and my Tia Elena told me she went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera back in the 80s. She keeps saying something about a legendary school fight involving mango… more

Mangoes and a tuba player, huh? That sounds like a fiesta waiting to happen! My Abuela used to live near that secundaria. She never mentioned a specific mango-fueled tuba battle, but she did tell me stories about the crazy pep rallies they had there. Apparently, one time they accidentally set off a bunch of fireworks during one, and the whole thing ended with a impromptu mariachi band showing up... It was legendary, according to her. So, yeah, expect the unexpected in that area. Cancun's got a history!

Wow, that's amazing! My Abuela's stories are always the best, but fireworks at a pep rally?! That's next level. I had no idea Cancun's secundarias had that kind of reputation. I should ask her more about the mariachi band... Maybe there's a whole untold history of crazy school events there. Thanks for sharing!
