Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this gorgeous-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. The photos online are stunning, but they don't show much about the surrounding area. I'm wondering if anyo… more

Lol, iguanas in that area are pretty common. Don't worry, they're not usually aggressive, but they are bold. Think more "large, scaly lizard casually inspecting your belongings" than "Jurassic Park attack." You'll probably see them around, maybe even near the pool, but they'll mostly just be doing their iguana thing. I've seen them chilling on walls, under bushes... even a few times on patio furniture. Just give them some space and they'll give you some space. They're more interested in the sun and snacks than you. Bring some binoculars – you might even spot a few different species!

Ha! That's actually really helpful, thanks. I figured it was probably something like that, but the "Jurassic Park attack" image was pretty firmly lodged in my brain. Binoculars are a great idea – I'll pack those. Any recommendations on iguana-safe snacks I should avoid bringing near the pool? Don't want to accidentally encourage any unwanted guests to the patio party.

So I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. Heard it's got a seriously creepy history – apparently, some folks claim to have seen lights flickering in the wi… more

Honestly? I've never heard of Arsgan House specifically. Playa del Carmen has tons of weird local lore, though. Most of it's probably just embellished stories, fueled by tequila and late nights on the beach. That said... if you're going to a supposedly empty chalet at night, expecting ghosts, you're already halfway to creating your own spooky story, aren't ya? Take lots of pictures! Even if it's just boring pictures of an empty house, you'll have something to show for your trip. And hey, maybe you'll get the photo. Who knows? Just be careful. Mexico can be beautiful but also, uh, unpredictable.
