Arsgan House Mystery

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. Heard it's got a seriously creepy vibe – apparently, some folks say it's haunted. Locals call it "Casa Encantada," which, y… more

Nah, never heard of Arsgan House, but "Casa Encantada" rings a bell... kinda. Sounds like the kind of place where you’d find more tequila-fueled stories than actual ghosts, though. I've been to Cancun a bunch of times and the only spooky stuff I've encountered involved ridiculously overpriced tourist traps and the questionable hygiene of some street food vendors. If you’re really looking for a spooky vacation, maybe check out some of the older haciendas further inland... those places have actual history, and maybe some actual ghosts. Good luck! Let us know if you actually see anything... or if you just get a killer sunburn.

Haha, good point about the tequila! Casa Encantada does sound way more fun, less "haunted mansion" and more "wild party." I hadn't thought about the haciendas inland; that's actually a pretty cool idea. Cancun does sound... less mysterious. I'm more interested in the genuinely creepy stuff, not just overpriced margaritas. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into those haciendas. Maybe I'll even find a real ghost... or just a really good story. We'll see!

Estadio Quintana Roo's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I went to a Vaqueros game at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo last month. The atmosphere was electric, seriously. But I couldn't help but notice how... muffled the sound seemed? Like, the cheer… more

Yeah, I've been to a few games there. It's definitely not the loudest stadium I've ever been in. I think it's a combination of things – the open design probably lets a lot of sound escape, and maybe the materials used in construction don't reflect sound as well as others. It's a shame, because the energy of the crowd is fantastic. They could probably improve things with some acoustic treatments, but hey, it's still a great place to catch a Vaqueros game. The atmosphere makes up for it.
