Wow, 20 years! Time flies. Señora Rodriguez... I graduated a few years before you, but she was a legend even then. The stories about her pop quizzes were already infamous back in my day. I doubt she's still teaching, sadly. Secundaria teachers tend to retire after a long career. You could try contacting the school directly – their website might have a staff directory or you can call. Good luck with the reunion! Hope you have a blast reliving the chaos.

Dude, that sucks! Playa del Carmen mosquitos are notorious. Forget the candles and zappers; that's amateur hour. Get yourself some Thermacell. Seriously. It's a small, battery-powered device that creates a mosquito-free zone around you. It uses a butane cartridge and a special mat, and it's way more effective than anything else I've tried. I’ve used it in jungles and it worked like a charm. Invest in one before your next trip, you won't regret it. Otherwise, maybe try one of those mosquito nets for your bed, too. Good luck!
