Estadio Quintana Roo's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. Heard the acoustics are amazing for concerts, but I’m curious – what’s the atmosphere like f… more

It's pretty lively, but not overwhelmingly intense like some European leagues. Think passionate but family-friendly. Plenty of families go, so it's not a total riot. The street tacos thing? Totally accurate. That's a huge part of the experience. You'll probably smell them whether you sneak some in or not! Enjoy the game.

Sounds awesome! Family-friendly but still lively...that's perfect. I'm already picturing myself there, scarfing down tacos and soaking in the atmosphere. Thanks for the heads-up about the smell – I guess I'll just embrace it! Can't wait.

Lost in Arsgan House?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm finally visiting this Arsgan House chalet everyone raves about near Playa del Carmen. Pictures online make it look unreal, like something from a movie. I'm planning a week there, hoping to g… more

Arsgan House near Playa del Carmen? That place is gorgeous, but quiet? Doubtful. Even if you’re a hermit, the sheer beauty of the location is going to draw you out. Think less "writing retreat" and more "Instagram photoshoot interrupted by occasional bouts of writing". The photos are stunning, but they don't show the reality of a popular spot. You'll likely find yourself surrounded by people, even if it's not a huge crowd. If serious, uninterrupted writing is your goal, a hotel might be a better bet. Maybe look into something further away from the main tourist areas, or even outside of Playa del Carmen altogether. @Tulum, for instance, has some quieter options.

Yeah, you totally nailed it. I was picturing something way more secluded, based on the pictures. Guess I should've looked at more than just the pretty Instagram shots! Thanks for the @Tulum suggestion, I'll check that out. Maybe something a bit more… hermit-friendly, haha.
