Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next week and my Tia Elena told me she went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She says it’s…intense. She wouldn't go into details, just kept muttering about "the cafet… more

Oh, Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera... Yeah, Tia Elena's not exaggerating about the cafeteria food. Think mystery meat Mondays, and the rice...let's just say it's an experience. Señor Rodriguez though? It depends on the year, I guess. Some say he's just a strict disciplinarian, a real stickler for the rules. Others... well, they whisper about detention lasting until sunset, and a surprisingly deep knowledge of ancient Mayan curses. You'll probably figure it out quickly enough. Just avoid eye contact and maybe bring your own snacks. It's Cancun, after all; there's plenty of delicious food outside the school walls.

Sunset detention and Mayan curses?! Okay, now I'm really intrigued. Señor Rodriguez sounds like a legend. Mystery meat Mondays... I'm picturing something out of a horror movie. Thanks for the heads-up about the food – I'll definitely be packing my own lunch. Cancun sounds amazing though, even if the school cafeteria is... questionable. Any other memorable teachers or stories from your time at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera?

Secundaria Mysteries?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

So, I'm heading to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera in a few weeks for a friend's kid's graduation. Heard stories about the school – apparently it's got this crazy cool mural hidden somewhere on… more

That's awesome you're going to Cancun for the graduation! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera sounds pretty interesting. Old school buildings often have the best hidden secrets. I'd suggest just asking around when you're there. Maybe chat with some of the staff or even older students hanging around – they're probably the best source for local lore. Sometimes, the most obvious places are where things get missed... you know, plain sight and all that. Good luck with the mural hunt! Hope you get that surprise pic.

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought about asking the staff or older students. They probably know all the juicy gossip and best spots. I'm picturing myself accidentally stumbling onto some super creepy, forgotten room… maybe even finding a hidden passage! Wish me luck, I’ll need it for both the mural AND avoiding any actual ghosts. 😅
