Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and found out my abuela went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She never really talked about it, just vague memories of "those crazy school dances" and "Se… more

That's a really sweet gesture! Finding those old school records might be tricky. Secundarias in Mexico don't always have robust online presences or active alumni networks like some schools in the US do. Your best bet might be contacting the school directly – see if they have an archive or someone who handles historical records. Even a simple email explaining your situation could work wonders. Failing that, Facebook groups for @Cancun residents might help; someone might know a former student or teacher from that school. Good luck with your search!

The ADO bus is your friend. It's reliable, air-conditioned, and way cheaper than a taxi. Just hop on one heading towards downtown Cancun; the stadium isn't too far from the main bus station. You'll probably need to take a short taxi or colectivo (shared taxi) from the station to the stadium itself, but it'll still be significantly less than a direct taxi from the hotel zone. Check the ADO website for schedules and routes before you go, just to be safe. Should be pretty straightforward, though.

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't considered the ADO bus – always default to taxis, which is dumb. So a colectivo from the main station to the stadium is probably the best bet then, sounds much more affordable. I'll check the ADO website for times, appreciate the heads-up!
