The Yucatan Peninsula is amazing for wildlife! Near Cancun, you'll probably see a lot of iguanas, they're everywhere. Keep an eye out for coatis – those little raccoon-like things are super cute but can be a bit cheeky. Birdlife is fantastic; you might spot toucans, various parrots, and maybe even a rare species depending on the exact location of Arsgan House. Mosquitoes are definitely a thing, so pack repellent with DEET. For bigger animals, jaguars are out there, but they're extremely elusive and you're incredibly unlikely to see one, unless you go looking for them specifically, which I wouldn't recommend doing. Snakes are also present, so be mindful where you step, especially at night. Enjoy your trip, it sounds lovely!

Relax! Jet skiing is usually pretty straightforward in Cancun. Most resorts handle everything – the safety briefing, the equipment, the whole shebang. You'll likely be paired with a guide, or at least be in a group. Don't overthink it; just enjoy the ride. If you're really nervous, maybe opt for a shorter rental time initially to get a feel for it.
