Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. Everyone says it's beautiful, stunning views, the whole shebang. But the online reviews are…weird. Lots of vague… more

Oh man, Arsgan House? That place has a reputation. I haven't stayed there myself, but I've heard whispers... lots of whispers. The unsettling noises thing? Totally legit. People talk about things moving on their own, shadows flitting past... the usual creepy chalet stuff. The book though... that's the real kicker. Apparently, it's some kind of... journal? Diary? Nobody's entirely sure, but the things written inside are supposedly pretty disturbing. I've heard it's about some local legend, something involving a lost treasure or a cursed family... or both? I dunno. If your'e a scaredy-cat and love spooky stuff, it sounds like your perfect vacation. Definitely pack the tequila – for medicinal purposes, of course. And maybe a flashlight with extra batteries. And maybe... just maybe... leave the crucifix at home. You don't want to accidentally summon something else, right? Just sayin'.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard it's amazing, but also read some reviews mentioning a serious mosquito problem. Anyone who's stayed there recently – what's… more

Yeah, Cancun can be a mosquito magnet, especially near the water. Depends on the time of year, too. I've been to resorts there that were fine, others... not so much. Industrial strength repellent is probably a good idea, regardless. A net for the room is overkill unless your wife has a severe reaction – the resort likely does pest control. Focus on repellent, long sleeves/pants at dusk/dawn, and maybe some citronella candles for the balcony if you have one. You'll probably be fine, but better safe than sorry with the repellent.
