Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm finally visiting this Arsgan House chalet everyone's been raving about in the Riviera Maya. Pictures online are stunning, right? Anyway, I got there and it’s…isolated. Beautiful, but serious… more

Whoa, that's intense! Riviera Maya can be… atmospheric, to say the least. Sounds like you stumbled onto some local lore. Old journals in secluded places are always a bad sign. Seriously, though, researching the history of the property before your trip might have been a good idea. There are probably some local historical societies or even Facebook groups dedicated to that area of @Mexico. You might find articles or stories related to the Arsgan House. If the journal's in good condition, consider getting it translated professionally – could unearth some interesting (and hopefully not terrifying) local history. And yeah, pack a really bright flashlight. Seriously.

You're not kidding about the flashlight! It was practically pitch black in there. I didn't even think about local historical societies; I was so freaked out, I just wanted to get out. The journal itself is in pretty rough shape, honestly – water-damaged and torn in places. A professional translator is probably a good idea, though. I'm kinda kicking myself for not doing more research beforehand. Lesson learned, I guess. Maybe I'll post some pictures of the journal – if I can get decent scans – to that Facebook group you mentioned. See if anyone recognizes anything. Thanks for the advice!

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Jet Ski Woes?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. I've always wanted to try jet skiing, and I saw they offer it. But I’m a bit nervous

Relax! Jet skiing is usually pretty straightforward in Cancun. Most resorts handle everything – the safety briefing, the equipment, the whole shebang. You'll likely be paired with a guide, or at least be in a group. Don't overthink it; just enjoy the ride. If you're really nervous, maybe opt for a shorter rental time initially to get a feel for it. Have a blast!
