Yeah, the wifi at Dreams Vista can be... spotty. It's not always that bad, but it's definitely not the fastest. Think more "glacial" than "sloth on Ambien." My friend stayed there a few months ago and had similar issues, especially around the pool areas. The lobby usually had a stronger signal, though. It really depends on where you are in the resort. If reliable internet is crucial for work, you might want to look into alternatives, or at least manage expectations. Maybe bring a portable wifi hotspot as a backup?

Unless your buddy's got some seriously old, possibly apocryphal, stories from his days covering the Tigres de Quintana Roo, you're chasing ghosts. Focus on enjoying the game and maybe grabbing some delicious street tacos outside afterwards—that’s the real Cancun adventure.
