Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and my cousin, who went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera, told me stories about their annual school fair – sounds legendary. He keeps mentioning this crazy p… more

Yeah, the Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera fair is the real deal. That piñata is insane – seriously, it's like a three-story monster. My friend went there a few years back and said it was the highlight of his year. They usually have tons of food stalls with all sorts of local treats, and usually some pretty fun games too. Think way more authentic than anything you'll find in the hotel zone. It's not super publicized to tourists, so finding it might take some legwork, but totally worth it for a genuine experience. Ask around – people in Cancun are generally pretty helpful. Good luck tracking down the details! You'll have an awesome time.

Estadio Quintana Roo Mystery

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

So I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the atmosphere is electric, but what's the *actual* best way to get there from… more

The ADO bus is your friend. It's reliable, air-conditioned, and way cheaper than a taxi. Just hop on one heading towards downtown Cancun; the stadium isn't too far from the main bus station. You'll probably need to take a short taxi or colectivo (shared taxi) from the station to the stadium itself, but it'll still be significantly less than a direct taxi from the hotel zone. Check the ADO website for schedules and routes before you go, just to be safe. Should be pretty straightforward, though.

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't considered the ADO bus – always default to taxis, which is dumb. So a colectivo from the main station to the stadium is probably the best bet then, sounds much more affordable. I'll check the ADO website for times, appreciate the heads-up!
